Christmas Run/Ride DEC 21
18 December 21
Our first Christmas event made up of eight runners and eight riders battling it out over Dartmoor for 5 hours! It was hard fought but only 6 prevailed with a tie for first in the running event, to win the very coveted Wild & Remote cap. Everyone else had the consolation prize of mince pies, hot dogs and mulled wine which seemed to go down exceptionally well! Another awesome event with some old faces and lots of new ones. Bring on the New Year for lots more epic adventures!
MTB Dartmoor OCT 21

What can only be described as biblical rain graced us with it’s presence over the majority of the weekend but this did not dampen the spirts of our hardy Mountain Bikers! They battled the wind, rain, bogs and anything else Dartmoor had to throw at them… Such a fun weekend welcoming all new competitors to the W&R family. Despite tricky conditions everyone pushed themselves both physically and mentally really showing that even if you cycle the furthest and the fastest you could still end up at the bottom of the leaderboard… Another epic event, onto the next!
W&R’s Big Weekend AUG 21
21 - 22 August 2021
The most glorious weekend with the most glorious people! A cycling pub tour of mid Devon, what could be better? Despite the slightly soggy conditions we managed to dodge the rain and seek refuge at our local watering hole for an hour or three… Then back for cocktails, butterflied lamb on the BBQ and copious amounts of dauphinoise potatoes. An epic weekend of type 2 and type 1 fun!
Devon Cycle May 21

On a wet weekend in May, we ran our first single discipline event, road cycling around the glorious Devon countryside, in teams of four. It started off a little soggy but cheered up fairly quickly for our lovely competitors. Most of them pushing at least a 100km on the Saturday and 60km plus on the Sunday, which was no mean feat around the Devon hills and up onto Exmoor. Another fantastic weekend seeing old friends and making lots of new ones. Bring on the next event!
Dartmoor adventurer april 21

Last weekend we had our first Dartmoor Adventurer event. It was a two-day event, in teams of four, racing to checkpoints over Dartmoor, collecting as many points as possible. Everyone had so much fun and were completely elated during/after the event. Our aim was to make it fun, friendly and competitive which I think we definitely achieved. Meeting like-minded people, making new friends and just having a blooming fantastic time!
