WHY WILD & REMOTE?
I've spent much of my life working in small military teams, leading expeditions and adventure racing. I've always loved the challenge, the uncertainty and, above all, the camaraderie. Many of my best mates are people I've shared expeditions with, and some of my greatest memories come from the challenges we've tackled together.
That's why I established Wild & Remote. I've brought together the best of those experiences to offer something different. More than an adventure race and certainly not a guided trip. Our expeditions combine physical endurance, mental challenge and competition. You'll need to think, adapt, make decisions and work together when things don't go to plan.

We keep our expeditions small, friendly and professionally supported, but the decisions and responsibility are yours. You'll quickly feel part of the Wild & Remote team, sharing the challenges, the laughs and the inevitable mishaps along the way.
And hopefully, one expedition will lead to another. My vision is to build a community of adventurers who keep coming back for new challenges, lasting friendships and the sheer enjoyment of sharing great adventures together.

The Challenge Sets the Team
Some challenges are best tackled as a pair. Others need several pairs working together. The task decides, and you'll occasionally have to rethink the plan.
One Expedition
Up to 16 people, one expedition. Shared camps, new friends, plenty of laughs and a few stories that may improve with retelling.
Professional Support
Our experienced team handles the planning, camps, communications, medical and logistical support. The adventure and decisions remain yours.

How a wild and remote expedition works
Come as a pair — or apply alone and we will help form one. Your Expedition Pair stays together throughout and retains its score. Depending on the stage, you may operate as a pair, combine with other pairs as a team or crew, or work as part of the whole expedition

Your constant teammate. You navigate, decide, look after one another and earn the expedition result together.
02 - The challenge
Every stage has an objective. WR builds the route options, checkpoints, gates, timings and decisions around what that stage needs to achieve
03 - the Team
Sometimes your pair is the best formation. Sometimes the terrain or objective brings several pairs together. The task decides.
04 - One Expedition
Whatever the stage formation, everyone returns to the same expedition — shared camps, briefings, stories and overall mission

Cross Mid Wales from the English border to Machynlleth in three stages — wet November tracks, route decisions, remote Cambrian country and a west-coast finish.
Two days fastpacking north to south across Dartmoor — winter terrain, navigation and a WR camp halfway, finishing at Ivybridge

10% deposit, then staged payments
Apply now. No payment is required when you apply or when we initially approve your application. We issue deposit invoices only after Wild & Remote confirms that your expedition will proceed.
