Some expeditions are difficult to organise because so many things have to come together.
A viable route and the right season. Access and permissions. Reliable local partners. Specialist guides where needed. Equipment, transport, camps and resupply. Communications, medical planning and alternatives when conditions change.
Wild & Remote brings the agreed elements into one coordinated expedition plan.
We establish what the objective demands, what your team can take on and where additional preparation or expertise is needed. You have a clear point of coordination from the first brief through to the field.
Your expeditioners take an active part in the journey. Independent travel, instruction and specialist guiding are shaped around the terrain, the objective and the capabilities of the team.

FROM FIRST IDEA TO THE FIELD
01 / EXPLORE THE AMBITION
Tell us who the expedition is for, what you want to achieve, possible dates and an indicative budget. We discuss the possibilities, the demands and the main decisions. You do not need a finished brief.
02 / SHAPE THE EXPEDITION
We develop the concept and outline costs, then agree the scope and any design fee before detailed planning begins. The proposal sets out what is included, how responsibilities are shared and what preparation is required.
03 / Prepare and GO
We coordinate the agreed logistics, expertise and support, and work with your team on preparation. You arrive knowing the objective, the plan and the part you will play.
WHAT DOES A COMMISSION COST?
Cost depends on the destination, duration, group size, technical demands and level of support. Sharing an indicative budget early helps us develop a realistic proposal.
Design fees, expedition costs, inclusions, exclusions and payment stages are set out before you commit to the relevant work.
EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE PLAN
Wild & Remote’s founder, James Harris, has led numerous expeditions world-wide notably, the British Army Antarctic Expedition in 2001–02, the British Army South Georgia expedition in 1991 and pioneering microlight flying expeditions to the high-north and arctic.
He leads an experienced team of explorers whose journeys span Canada, the USA, Europe, the Arctic and beyond. The team brings together mountaineers, ocean yacht-masters, extreme kayakers, overland explorers, and pilots, supported by qualified medics, experienced mechanics and logistics specialists.
For each commission, we assemble the people and skills the expedition demands—to turn your ambition into a well-prepared, professionally supported journey.
